These two were referred to me by my first ever Bride and Groom! Four years ago Cynthia’s brother married his sweetheart and I was lucky enough to be their photographer. They’ve always held a special place in my heart. Enough about them though!
Cynthia and Matt are the quintessential “geek” couple. If you don’t believe me (or maybe you just don’t like the competition), see Exhibit A below. They brought their gameboys to their engagement photo session. I knew they were going to be ridiculous amounts of fun to photograph when Cynthia informed me they would be wearing DC versus Marvel shirts for their photos. I decided to wear my very own Shield (secretly Hydra) tank top because how could I resist, really? I pulled Matt aside sneakily and told him that if he really wanted to represent his team he was going to have to just pick Cynthia up and throw her over his shoulder. It took much less convincing than one might think. See Exhibit B.
Cynthia and Matt met at a Halloween party but didn’t start dating until New Years Eve…a few years later! Judging by Matt’s giant smile I’m going to assume that it all worked out fabulously in the end. I can’t tell you how many times I had to remind them I was there because they were having so much fun just enjoying spending time together.
Between fake punches and constantly making each other laugh, Cynthia and Matt were so much fun to work with. They clearly have a blast in each others company, even if Matt does like to give over the shoulder gameboy advice. I’m looking forward to watching these two tie the knot at their Chinese/Steampunk wedding next year at the beautiful, brand new Gateway Island! Something tells me their engagement photos are just the tip of the iceburg for these two.
